Dear guest,

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they set out the basis upon which Altitude Expeditions will accept bookings. We reserve the right to amend our Booking Conditions.

1. Prices: Altitude Expedition have not published an expeditions price on our website because every trip price will vary depending on several factors such as group size, the personal requirement for the expeditions, mode of flight/transport, royalty and permit fees in different seasons, no of oxygen, extra activities, hotel category, numbers of guide, Sherpa’s and porter, types of expedition equipment and package customization etc. factors directly affect the cost of the trip.

Therefore, before clients confirm their booking with Altitude Expeditions there will be extensive communication to understand the exact client’s expectations. After a thorough communication with clients will offer a price. Please feel free to contact us regarding the package price information.

2. Booking & payment method:

2.1. To book expeditions with Altitude Expeditions, clients can make a book using the contact us form or phone or using WhatsApp.

2.2. The participant must book an Expedition 25 days before the departure date. Please book your trip prior time, because we must allocate time to prepare/arrange logistics, booking hotel, flight tickets, and obtain necessary documents, accommodation, and local staff for the trip.

2.3. When participant booking is confirmed, then we ask 30% advance deposit of the total expedition price. The dues balance must be paid 25 days before trip departure or able to pay in cash upon arrival in Kathmandu. Even though, when the participants booked an expedition 25 days before the departure date, the payment should be deposited in full.

Please Note: If the participate transferring money via electronic bank the banking charges must be borne by the client.

3. What Your Trip price includes and Does Not Include

We guarantee to provide the service that we stated on the trip package on our website. Therefore, please check the details of the items included and not included.

4. Cancellation policy

Notification of cancellation must be made by the tour participant in writing: via e-mail or online must be received by Altitude Expeditions.

4.1. Following cancellation charges are applicable in case participants ask for a refund deposit payment. But due to work changing their, time off or various reasons, if participants made postponed trip for the next season same trip or similar another trip 2 month before, we would not apply any cancellation charges.

Note: The cost of climbing permits has already been purchased so it will be not- refundable.

5. Early completion of the trip

Sometimes participants might complete trips ahead of schedule due to favorable conditions, health problems, or any other personal reasons. The remaining days of the trip will not any refund. For example, in a climbing package of 17 days including contingency days, if the client don’t need to use 2 contingent days due to favorable the trip completed in 15 days, the Altitude Expeditions will not refund the cost of 2 days because our costs are the same as our guide and porter are obliged to pay for the time they do.

6. Travel insurance

There is no provision for foreigners to purchase any insurance policy in Nepal. While booking our expedition and treks, we therefore strongly recommend travel insurance that covers expenses such as medical expenses, natural calamity, emergency helicopter evacuation, personal accidents, and loss of items, theft, or damage to baggage.

7. Altitude responsibility

– We are full responsibility to provide you with an amazing experience and the best service.
– We are fully responsible for well/equally-treat to all staff- Climbing Sherpa, guide, cook, and Porter & clients.
– We are fully responsible to provide the best equipped, best-paid to staff.
– We are fully responsible to hear out the concern of the member in terms of the safety whitelist on the mountain.
– We are fully responsible to make the best arrangement for lodging, accommodation, and food during the trip.
– We are fully responsible in terms of minimum impact on the environment and a positive impact on mountain communities from our trip.

9. Client’s responsible

  • Our climbing guide and trek guide who represent Altitude Expeditions will have full authority during your trip. The guide will decide on the trip base on your safety.
  • We will not be able to take responsibility for changes in the alternation itinerary due to natural disasters, flight delays, flight cancellations, landslides, and sickness. For any extra cost due to quoted reason, we shall request the client to borne the normal amount on the spot.
  • If the client wishes to add any extra service except what we stated on the trip costs included and not included, the client shall be entitled to bear the extra costs.
  • Clients should take responsibility for travel insurance medical expenses, flight cancellation, emergency evacuation, and any other unforeseeable events that may cause loss to you.
  • After booking trips and flight tickets, clients have to send travel documents (flight details information, passport, and passport size photo to obtain documents, and permits and book a domestic flight.

10. Complain

During the trip, if you have any complaints about the trip, you must notify your climbing guide or trek guide at the earliest opportunity to allow them to correct the situation. We know problems can most easily be dealt with on the spot. Besides, if the problem cannot be resolved on spot you can contact us shortly via email or telephone.
