Himlung Himal

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Ultimately, the Manaslu Circuit Trek is considered moderate level of trek, everyone can do these trek but might be difficult sometime due to its high altitude, remote terrain, and challenging weather conditions, especially during the crossing of the Larkya La Pass. Everest Three pass trek

Mt. Everest or Sagarmatha is the tallest mountain in the world, and its height has naturally brought a great deal of fame to the Everest region. So, the cultural heritage and natural attractions around the mountain are a massive part of the treks, expeditions, and other trips. The Everest High Passes Trek is a similar trek highlighting the majesty of the mountain passes in the Khumbu valley for trekkers. The trip starts with a thrilling flight to Lukla and crosses the Kongma La Pass, and Cho La Pass, followed by the Renjo La Pass.

The trail continues from Lukla heads north alongside the serene Dudh Koshi River and reaches Namche follow the island peak base camp trail via Tengboche and Dingboche to reach Chhukung. After crossing the Kongma La Pass (5535m), the trail takes you to the Everest Base Camp. Next, you enjoy the magical sunrise from Kala Patthar and head west to cross Cho La Pass (5420m). Further, you trek to Gokyo Valley and ascend Renjo La Pass (5360m). The final part of the trek takes you back to Lukla and ends your adventure in the Himalayas realm.

Kongma La (5,535m): Kongma La pass is located in Lobuche village (west) and Chukung village (east) but the west side of the route is steeper than the eastern side. The entire pass route is marked by waving prayer flags between the mountains. It takes 5-6 hours to cross the pass then after you left from Chukung. From the pass, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly panoramic mountains view of the lakes and glacial landscapes with the 5th tallest mount Makalu, Ama-Dablam, and Lobuche peak with the entire Everest region of peaks.

Cho La (5,380m): These passes need to cross the Cho La Glacier, which will likely be holding snow and ice. In a good weather condition, you can cross the stove without any expert equipment, but warm clothing is essential. It is most frequently crossed by many trekkers in the Everest Region. The western side of the pass is much steeper than the eastern side, but the pass can be made on sides both sides via Dzongla (east side) or Dragnag (west side).

Renjo La (5,388m): Renjo la pass is considered to be the easiest pass among the three passes. It is connected with the Gokyo Lakes, where the eye-popping vista awaits. If the sky is clear, we can see the rooftops of Gokyo glinting distantly on the shore of the lake beneath the grey smear of the Ngo-Zompa glacier and the sawtooth peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Chola-tse and Tabuche. Renjo la pass can do after or before crossing Kongma-la and Cho-la.

Everest Three Pass trek is one of the most challenging treks in the Everest region and offers one of the most rewarding and truly special experiences trekking. As this route takes you remote high passes, over 5000m from sea level, trekkers must have experience walking steep, boulder-strewn paths where the use of hands is required to scramble upwards over the rocky paths. Even, sometimes trekkers require to use crampons on Chola pass if snow. Thus, previous trekking experience to 4000m will be ideal for this trek. Climb Mera Peak

Mera Peak is the first choice for those who are looking to have their first experience in the Himalayas of Nepal. Rising to 6476 above sea level this peak is the first step for climbers to build 7000m+ more serious mountaineering objectives. Similarly, Mera Peak is a technically and mentally more achievable peak without much struggle compared to other 6000m peaks in Nepal. Like most trips in the Everest region, the journey to Mera Peak also begins with a flight to Lukla.

Starting from Lukla, you follow the Dudh Koshi River downstream to Panggom. Further, you reach Kothe and continue to Thangnak. As you enjoy the views of the Charpate Himal range, the trail takes you to the desolate region of Makalu Barun National Park at Khare. Then, you acclimatize to the altitude before joining the trail to High Camp. The summit of Mera Peak offers plenty of challenges as you savour the views of the nearby Himalayas. The summit, however, offers a breath-taking panorama of five of the highest mountains in the world, namely, Mt. Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8481m), and Cho Oyu (8201m). After the successful climb, you’ll head back to Lukla via a different route across Zatrwa La Pass (4610m).
