Himlung is one of the great Himalayan 7000m mountain expeditions in Nepal. Scaling this mountain offers a majestic panorama view of the Annapurna region. The expedition takes excellent preparation for Everest or another 8,000 meters peak challenges. The scenes of the Manaslu, Daulagiri, Annapurna and Chulu Himal ranges along with the Tibetan Himalayas from the top of Himlung Himal make for a magical journey.
The Himlung Himal lies in the northern part of the Annapurna range that borders the Tibetan highlands. This mountain is an excellent option for those who want to accumulate over 8000m High Mountain in the future because the overall climbing experience is entirely fulfilling. Since 1992 numerous trekkers and climbers enjoy their trips because these regions are culturally and naturally safeguard, and thus considered remote areas. The journey starts drive from Kathmandu to Koto by drive, then, the trek up to Himlung base camp passing through the magical Annapurna conservation area, hidden Tibetan Phu village and the restricted Nar-Phu. During the trek, you will admire the Kang Guru (6091m), Chulu west (6425m), Pisang peak (6090m) and Chulu Far east (6020m) peaks along with a massive part of the Annapurna massif
Above the base camp, you will engage in an arduous climb of the Himlung Himal for the next 12-15 days, where you will ascend by the new normal route via the southwest ridge. During the period, before moving to the Himlung summit, you will rotate Camp I (5,460m), Camp II (6,080m), and Camp III (6,350m) times to develop acclimatization and training, where you will climb by using crampons and ropes. The summit of Himlung Himal rewards the climbers with a mesmerizing view of the Annapurna range and the Himalayas in Tibet and the Chulu Himal range.
